If anyone is injured, call an ambulance immediately by calling 995. If the accident involves a foreign-registered vehicle (e.g., Malaysia), the police must be notified immediately by calling 999.

For work permit and S-Pass holders, their employers are obliged to pay for their medical expenses in full regardless of whether the accident is work-related or not in Singapore. Employment Pass holders and Permanent Residents’ employers are only liable to pay for medical expenses in the event of a work-related injury, subject to a maximum amount capped by the Ministry of Manpower of Singapore.

Once an ambulance is called, your motorcycle or vehicle will be towed away for free by the traffic police and safely kept in the traffic police compound. Therefore, you do not need to use a towing service. SAHC (Johor) offers its members a free towing service from the traffic police compound to anywhere in Singapore or Johor Bahru.

After an accident, you should be wary of some people who offer help; they may be road touts. This is to prevent unnecessary trouble for you and your claim.

Whether you are a witness or a victim, immediately after the accident, you should take photos and videos of the scene from multiple angles.
